What this site does not do

This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services: fonts and images are served by UnixDev inc.'s server. It has no forms.

Server logs

Like any web server, the site's server automatically records, for each page requested: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser used and the referring page. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and working. They are not sold, shared or used for profiling, and they are deleted automatically after a limited period.

Where data is hosted

The site is hosted on a server located in Quebec. A standby server located in Toronto, Ontario, can take over and holds backup copies. The information stays in Canada.

When you email

If you write to manu@unixdev.ca, UnixDev inc. keeps your name, contact details and the content of your messages in order to reply and, where applicable, to follow up on the business relationship. This information is not sold or shared with third parties, unless required by law. It is kept for the duration of the business relationship and of the related legal obligations, then deleted.

Applications

Applications published by UnixDev inc. are covered by this policy. If an application collects personal information, a dedicated section is added here before it is published: information collected, purpose, storage location and retention period.

Your rights

You may request access to your personal information, its correction or deletion, and withdraw your consent to its use. Write to the person in charge named above; you will receive an answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Confidentiality incidents

If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, UnixDev inc. notifies the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and records the incident in its register, as required by law.
